Regional Business Development Manager -South

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to join our Regional Management team.

In this role, you will support the Regional Director in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for various Trusts within your region.

 You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities for private patients.

Responsibilities of the role

 

  • Support the Regional Director to develop and implement a growth and relationship building plan for each NHS Trust and ICB in their region
  • Interact with customers and identify new opportunities for growth (either with existing or new customers) and including but not limited to services such as static diagnostic services, Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs), lung screening opportunities or additional mobile provision
  • Work with Head of Private Patients and Unit Managers and other internal stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities for growth in national accounts, other private customers and self-pay patients, including supporting UMs with local engagement activities with potential referrers
  • Monitor contract renewals and tender opportunities
  • Identify, manage and secure business from referring organisations to grow additional revenues.
  • Develop networks and relationships with local private providers, health organisations and other groups to maximize opportunities within local geographical areas.
  • Create propositions, negotiate and agree commercial terms with customers (in conjunction with Regional Director / Commercial Lead/ Head of Mobile Services / Chief Commercial & Operations Officer as relevant)
  • Ensure AML’s CRM system is up-to-date and used effectively
  • Provision of comprehensive management reporting information on the status of the engagement plan including activity reports and pipeline development information.
  • Monitor trends in referrals by key customer groups to identify opportunities to increase business and to pick up indicators of potential dissatisfaction.
  • Actively support, through your actions, the marketing and promotion of the company

 

 

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to identify and develop business growth opportunities, both independently and in collaboration with customers.

You should be adept at working autonomously, setting your own deadlines, and managing others to ensure project milestones are met.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as you will need to negotiate and influence effectively.

Building positive relationships with existing and potential business partners quickly is crucial, as is the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities.

Demonstrating commercial awareness within the healthcare sector will be a significant advantage in this role.

Candidates should have a proven track record in a management, business development, or project management role within the healthcare sector. Experience in identifying and developing business growth opportunities is essential.

You will be expected to work autonomously, set your own deadlines, and manage others to deliver within project milestones.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to negotiate and influence others effectively.

The ability to quickly forge positive relationships with existing and potential business partners and effectively prioritize and manage conflicting priorities is crucial.

Commercial awareness within the healthcare sector will be a key asset in this role.
