About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Manager to join our Mobile Management team in the North.

In this role, you will support the Head of Mobile Services in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for various Trusts within your region.

 You will collaborate with  Mobile Managers, Regional Directors, and other internal stakeholders to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities for private patients.

Responsibilities of the role

Your responsibilities will include

  • Support the Head of Mobile Services and Regional Directors to develop and implement new business within mobile diagnostics, in line with regional plans to grow additional revenues.
  •  Close collaborative working with the Regional Operational and Commercial team to identify and convert short-term business opportunities to sustainable, long-term growth, aligned to AML business priorities
  • · To retain existing referrers and their revenue contribution.
  • · Identify and develop opportunities for growth in private patients through mobile utilisation ·
  • Negotiate and agree commercial terms with customers (in conjunction with Commercial Manager/Head of Mobile Services /Chief Commercial & Operations Officer as relevant) ·
  • Provision of comprehensive management reporting information on the status of mobile utilisation and opportunity management ·
  • Working together collaboratively with the Regional Team, identify and assess new business opportunities, tenders, and partnership models in both NHS and private sectors.
  • · Lead on mobile proposals ensuring all information is accurate and reflective of customer requirements ·
  • Participate in bid writing, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
  • · Working closely with the Regional Team, develop strategic partnerships with NHS Trusts, commissioners, and key stakeholders as appropriate. ·
  • Support the development of new service models and innovations in line with AML business priorities, market trends and policy developments.
  • · Working closely with the Regional Team, conduct mobile services competitor research to inform decision-making and strategy. ·
  • Represent the organisation at business events, forums, and stakeholder meetings.
  • · Monitor business performance and support service mobilisation and implementation where required
  •  Share best practice with your peer group · Actively support, through your actions, the marketing and promotion of the company Professional Responsibilities ·
  • To work collaboratively with all personnel across the business to ensure that Alliance Medical’s standards are reflected in any bids and proposals. Financial Responsibilities

  • The role holder will be responsible for achieving the mobile utilisation across the UK business. Operations · Collaborate with operations to ensure operational viability of proposed projects · Support operations to enable implementation of the projects

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to identify and develop business growth opportunities, both independently and in collaboration with customers.

You should be adept at working autonomously, setting your own deadlines, and managing others to ensure project milestones are met.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as you will need to negotiate and influence effectively.

Building positive relationships with existing and potential business partners quickly is crucial, as is the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities.

Demonstrating commercial awareness within the healthcare sector will be a significant advantage in this role.

Candidates should have a proven track record in a management, business development, or project management role within the healthcare sector. Experience in identifying and developing business growth opportunities is essential.

You will be expected to work autonomously, set your own deadlines, and manage others to deliver within project milestones.

Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to negotiate and influence others effectively.

The ability to quickly forge positive relationships with existing and potential business partners and effectively prioritize and manage conflicting priorities is crucial.

Commercial awareness within the healthcare sector will be a key asset in this role.
