About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in business partnering, management accounts, and financial/commercial analysis, coupled with exceptional communication skills.

This pivotal role involves supporting the business in executing our growth strategy through the provision of insightful analysis and effective stakeholder communication at all levels.

A meticulous attention to detail is essential, alongside the ability to deliver high-level analysis on the commercial viability of new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with external partners and internal departments, including Operations, Commercial, Technology, Quality, and Risk.

Core Responsibilities

In this role the main responsible will cover:

  •    Act as a ‘critical friend’ to project stakeholders and deputise for Head of Commercial Finance in key project meetings, as required.
  • Challenge and support operational and commercial teams as required, to deliver actionable initiatives that improve EBITDA performance.
  • Partner with project leadership team to integrate commercial updates into the PET-CT contract financial model.
  • Collaborate with key project stakeholders to sense check and model P&L and KPI drivers that drive commercially viable outcomes for Trusts and AML.
  •  Produce clear and insightful financial results that provide insight into key contract decisions, including but not limited to EBITDA, IRR, NPV and key business metrics (e.g. staff cost per scan).
  • Develop and build a robust, scalable and adaptable commercial model for our key, long-term contracts 
  •  Develop and implement a reliable and practical forecast and budget model for AML UK business; able to incorporate run-rate analysis, operational inputs and the output of key financial data and metrics.

Required Skills and Experience

To be a successful applicant fore this role you must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance in a senior analysis role.
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience of working in cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Must have excellent Excel modelling skills, a clear & concise communication style that allows for the communication of financial results to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in financial analysis and a strong understanding of financial modelling, including complex Excel formulas (Indexes, match functions, nested IF statements etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and business intelligence tools is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently when required and at a pace to ensure that key deadlines are met
